Staying focused in this day and age is hard, especially with all of the excessive distractions that are around us. It would be nice if there were some sort of switch that we could use to turn off the world whenever we needed to be productive and focused.

This is what a company based out of Pennsylvania hopes to achieve with its Narbis System.

What is the Narbis System?

The Narbis team are neuroscientists who are passionate about using brain-based technology to improve the quality of people’s lives. Founded in 2013, the company specializes in developing technology to improve focus and performance. Their Narbis System uses NASA Neurofeedback Technology developed in the ’90s at NASA’s Langley Research Center.

The company’s founder and CEO, Devon Greco, describes Neurofeedback as “a part of neuroscience to create a closed loop feedback system to change how the brain works to improve behavior and cognition. Neurofeedback works by measuring brain patterns with sensors and rewarding desirable patterns while penalizing undesirable patterns to change behavior and cognition.”

The company’s goal is to bring this technology to the marketplace and help people intuitively understand how they can apply this attention-enhancing technology.

How Does Narbis Smart Glass Work?

The Narbis System consists of a stylish pair of smart glasses that utilize three brainwave sensors that measure your brain activity, a Bluetooth armband amplifier, and a tablet. The Neurofeedback technology employs a penalty and reward model depending on how distracted or relaxed and concentrated you are. The software then uses this information to provide feedback on what you should be looking at to improve your focus and attention span.

The Narbis System darkens and clears the smart glasses, depending upon each stage of your brain patterns. For instance, glasses tint when distracted and clear up when you concentrate and relax. The Narbis Systems comes with a tablet and app that tracks your performance and progress via the Bluetooth armband amplifier. The software then uses this information to provide feedback on what you should be looking at to improve your focus and attention span.

What Are The Benefits of Using Narbis Smart Glasses?

Narbis recommends that the glasses be worn for 30 minutes during study time, 2 to 3 times per week. This is pretty remarkable considering the science suggests that Neurofeedback training forms new brain cell connections that provide long-lasting benefits. In fact, the treatment has shown to be effective in improving conditions like ADHD, mental health, and autism. Moreover, it is a method that utilizes sophisticated advanced tech instead of drugs or any other experimental treatments that have not shown real, consistent success in the market.

If you’re looking for a pair of glasses that uses technology to assist you in improving your focus and attention, it’s highly recommended that you check out Narbis Smart Glasses. You can pick up a pair for $690 here.
